What does MZGO do
1) Running a comprehensive waste management system in Dąbrowa Górnicza.
2) Organization of collecting municipal waste from owners of real estate where residents live.
3) Organization of collecting municipal waste from property owners where residents do not live, but municipal waste is generated.
4) Collection of the fee for collecting municipal waste and transferring the fee to the municipal budget.
5) Conducting a selective collection of hazardous waste.
6) Receiving and storing waste from the collection of hazardous waste.
7) Management of the Communal Hazardous Waste Collection Point and Communal Waste Collection Centers,
8) Management of municipal waste and waste collected selectively, including hazardous waste.
9) Supervision over municipal waste management, including the implementation of tasks entrusted to entities collecting municipal waste from property owners.
10) Supervision over selective collection of municipal waste in a way that allows to obtain at least the following fractions of waste: paper, metal, plastic, glass, multi-material packaging and biodegradable waste, including biodegradable packaging waste.
11) Carrying out information and educational activities in the field of proper waste management
municipal waste, in particular in the field of selective collection of municipal waste.
12) Conducting an analysis of the state of municipal waste management in order to verify the technical and organizational capabilities of the commune in the field of municipal waste management,
13) Conducting tenders for collection or collection and management of waste.
14) Management of municipal landfills.
15) Carrying out maintenance works in closed storage yards.
16) Energy use of biogas.
17) Performing works related to selective waste collection.

19) Promotion and marketing of the developed technologies and technical solutions based on the Department.
20) Cooperation with research and development institutes and leading domestic and European Union companies in terms of improving the effectiveness of the unit's operation in terms of economy and technology.
21) Promoting ecological activities through the organization of selective waste collection and collection of recyclable materials in the Dąbrowa Górnicza commune.
22) Implementation of other activities related to the statutory activity of MZGO.
